DescriptionTeapot of squat form with loop handle, curved spout with mask terminal and contemporary silver-gilt mount. Painted with Chinoiserie decoration of a huntsman and companion on horseback, one holding a hawk, the other with a spear, an attendant before them driving three spotted hounds. The reverse with two figures before a water with boats, an attendant blackamoor and another figure to one side within iron-red scroll and gilt-lined Bottger luster panelled cartouches; the shoulder with a band of gilt "Laub- und Bandelwerk", the spout, handle, body and cover with scattered birds among "indianischen Blumen".
